I've never liked New Year. I don't know why. I just hate it. Staying up late listening to bagpipes and fireworks while your mum tries to convince you that champagne "isn't that bad" and that I should try it just "because it's New Year". It's honestly the worst celebration of the year. Right next to Halloween. That's why I'm glad I didn't hear the bells that year.

It Started out as a Joke
It started out as a joke. Like all the best tragedies of the world, it began with laughter. The way it ended is what everyone else remembers, but I like the think about the giggles, the chuckles, the snickers and the chortles. If we spend our lives focusing on the pain then what's the point of laughing? If we don't remember it in the long run, does it even matter at all?
