About me

I'm Hanna, I'm from Europe and I've been writing stories all my life.

I've even tried writing for a living: I worked as a freelancing journalist, script author, director and editor for some years, and my big dream will always be working on a real film.
Unfortunately this will stay a dream since I got fed up with working 24/7 shifts and still opening a chronically empty fridge. (The TV production companies I worked for just didn't pay me. Happens all the time in this business, as I found out.)

So I changed my career to something more profitable and now I'm back to writing for fun. After I finally found a publishing house that printed my first novel (a science fiction/fantasy crossover) I feel like I'm the happiest person in the world. It's totally unknown and it's certainly not the best I could do, but hey, it's a start.

Anyway, most of my stories I haven't written in English since English's not my Native language. And I'm not really sure yet when I'm going to post an own story here, for now I'll just be sticking to reading and writing reviews. And since some of you writers don't accept anonymous reviews, I felt I had to sign up. So obviously my other big hobby is reading - which I'm going to indulge in here... ;)

About my stories

Seems I had to publish something of my own after reading all those wonderful stories...

So maybe I should tell you this.

I'm a total sucker for happy ends.

But.

(How do I put this?)

Maybe with this scene (it's not made up, I'm afraid):

My friends' reactions to my first (and so far only) published paperback novel went like this:

"F* your "realism", why didn't you just let the main characters save the world in the end?!"

My answer: "Because they wouldn't be heroes then."

Just don't say I didn't warn you.

Lately I've become readdicted to playing my Fender Strat and singing ignorantly out of tune in crappy rock bands. I'm afraid this is showing quite a bit in my stories. ;)

Why my writer's life depends on reviews

If you're a writer, you'll know that getting one review can make your whole day.

If you're a reader, be kind enough to leave me a few words.
