Greetings, I am 35 year old, disabled vet, currently residing in Virginia. I was medically discharged from the Army in May 08 after ten years of service and two tours in Iraq. Since being discharged I have found myself with A LOT of free time on my hands. So in trying to find out what to do with the rest of my life (because I am 100% disabled and unable to return to work) I have returned to school (just finished my first semester) and decided to take up writing. Now, with that said, I wish to transcend and reivent some genres. Hopefully the things I put up here will be something new and fresh, something nobody has read before; needless to say I will not be writing about angels, vampires, or werewolves. Not that there is anything wrong with writing about angels, vampires, and werewolves (Anne Rice and Stephenie Meyers both made a lot of money writing about these things), it's just not my cup of tea.

I have just re-discovered my faith after years of atheism, bordering on nihilism (please DO NOT think that means I am a bible beater, I'm actually a deist)

My influences include Edgar Allen Poe, HP Lovecraft, Mark Twain, HG Wells. and Virginia Woolf
