Author has written 4 stories for Fantasy, and Kids.
“War seems to be ingrained in human nature, and even to be regarded as something noble to which man is inspired by his love of honor, without selfish motives.” (Immanuel Kant, Perpetual Peace, 1795)
“So far as we are human, what we do must be either Evil or Good: so far as we do Evil or Good, we are human: and it is better, in a paradoxical way, to do Evil than to do nothing: at least we Exist.” (T.S.Eliot)
I've always loved to write. I consider it my passion. Even when I was little I would write and illustrate my own stories, stapling the pages together into "books". As far back as I can remember, I wanted to be a professional author when I grew up. Unfortunately, life doesn't always work out like we plan, does it? I wrote three novels, several short stories, and adapted one tale into a screenplay all before I was 18 years old. I entered a few contests, submitted works to zines, and also paid for the services of a small-time literary agent. And all I came away with was a stack of template rejection letters. Nothing out of the ordinary for a would-be author I suppose, but still disheartening.
Although I still harbor the desire to be a professionally published fiction novelist, these days I satisfy my desire to tell a good story by writing fan fiction for fun. Writing at all is a struggle as I am constantly curbed by frustrating writer's block, my own lack of inspiration or motivation, or just my mundane life in general. I suffer manic-depression, but sometimes I'm just lazy and fickle. I'm also my own worst critic, and no one could ever be as hard on me as I am on myself.
I am now much older and all grown up. It's quite embarrassing for me, and by no means a good example of how I currently write (see my latest fanfics for that), but I've decided to upload all those old stories here online. I figured I might never get another opportunity to have a "real" book printed, so why not offer those tween stories a chance in the spotlight? They are more for a young adult audience, having been written by a daydreaming, introverted young adult. But hopefully somebody, somewhere, someday may enjoy the read.
Even though at present I am just uploading my old stories, and I no longer read their particular genres (mainly high fantasy), I'm still interested in receiving feedback. Any sort of comments or criticism will help me to continue to grow as a writer, and I can perhaps learn what readers are looking for these days; I'm trying to start anew and write fresh content.
