I have some unfinished works that I will be adding here. It will take me a while for each update because, as I said, it's unfinished. I'll much need a prefer a beta, mostly because I don't want anyone I know to read it. There is much that I dislike about it, but hopefully you guys will all enjoy it more than I do. Yes, I have little faith in my story. I have much faith in my ability to write, so hopefully I can clean it up, and you guys will review me some ideas of where it can go.
I know, that was two month ago that I said that I'll be adding my own stories. I assure you that it will happen. Just give me some time to actually get all of my works together.
I've tried to think of what else to add here, and I've finally come to a decision. I'll be reviewing my favorite stories and authors here. Since that's a few stories, That will take a while. I can do the authors now though. The reviews on the authors will strictly be based on their writing ability, and not about the profile or any personal experience or messages I've received from the person. The stories will be on content, plot, grammar, spelling, and a few other comments I see necessary. Any reviews I make could be changed as I remember things to add, want to make a better one, more is added to a story, or an author continues writing.
Kaidyen Nemerah- They only have four stories, and three of which are on my favorite stories list. That was enough of a reason to say they are one of my favorite's, but I have to say that they've got good ideas and an amazing ability to write them down. I love the creativity that's put into the stories that's written by them. I'm glad to say the first fiction I've read here was written by them. My favorite thing is that they have a series going. This means that when they start, they won't stop until their done. I enjoy reading the situations that they put their characters in, and how they explain the character gets out of that situation. Their work can be a little confusing, but the answers to any questions you get will be answered eventually. This only makes me want to read it more. I can't wait to find the answers to the ideas that's being brought up, but left unanswered. The only complaint I really have is the long times waiting for an update. The longer chapters make up for the wait, but I'm generally a person to want to wait until a story is finished before reading it. I'd prefer shorter chapters and faster updates to longer chapters and slower updates, simply because I'll read it as soon as it's updated, and I'm a fast reader. This also prevents me from forgetting anything between updates.
RoughDraftHero- The only four stories on by them on my favorite's list are the only four I've read. My usual rule of thumb is three stories and for me to believe they have a great ability to write before I make them my favorite author. That means that this author has good spelling, grammar, ideas, and creativity. Every story by this person is a new world with a different idea. This means that they are creative and have an active imagination, but that also means that they are fickle. They have 24 ongoing stories, and only four of them are complete. I'm hesitant to read any more by them, because updates for the first three were far between. It irritates me because I love the ideas, but they can't stick with anything. On top of the length of time I have to wait for an update, the chapters are short. As I've said before, and I'll probably say again, I think that long waits are only good for long chapters. I understand that you have a life, but I wonder if you plan on completing everything that you've started. You have an amazing writing ability, but you can't keep this many open stories at once. People will get impatient, and they will unfavorite your stories thinking that you never plan to finish them. I know that I've done that many times before.
Don't Look Now But- This amazing author only has one story, one really amazing story, which is on my favorites list. The updates take a while, but it's well worth it. This person is a good author with good ideas and a ton of creativity. I only wish that they'd go into better detail on their characters, since the characters are so unique, so that I may picture them better. Quite honestly, I picture all of the characters as monsters from the movie Hercules, the cartoon one, because that's the best image I can get in my head with the detail given. Other than that, the creativity of this author is amazing, but I end up a little confused with the plot twists given. There's not much I can say, since this author only has one story up, so I can only give my opinion based on that one. Maybe it's just the story, but I won't know unless I have something else by them to compare it to.
Demons of the Heart- By: RoughDraftHero. Rated M. Catagory: Romance. Genre: Romance/Fantasy. Status: Complete.
Summary (as given by the author): Set in a Prep School, this story revolves around the integration of Demon Students into the Human Student population. This will set off a few problems however considering humans carry what Demons call Scent Triggers. COMPLETE m/m slash
Review: One of the few stories completed by this author. A lot of originality went into this story, and I'm glad I read it. I like how the author has every detail set up, meaning that there's a reason why everything happens, but I don't believe that it's well written. It's basically a story where the humans are falling in love with the demons and the demons are falling in love with the humans, but nobody is denying the fact that they love that person. There's only two people who will admit that they love that person, but they aren't in the story much. I really don't understand the reason for involving scenes that include the principles because I think it'd make the story more interesting if that was left out and the students heard about it through rumors. What really got me hooked on the story are the ideas behind it. They are original ideas and it keeps me reading to see how the issues caused by these ideas get solved. My personal opinion is that the main plot should be revolving around the fact that the demons are taking over, and what the humans will do about it. The romance can still be in there, but it's more interesting as a sub-plot than an actual plot. The story is well written, and if the author can improve on their plot writing skill, they would have the potential to publish a book one day.
For Your Entertainment- By Kaidyen Nemerah. Rated M. Catagory: Fantasy. Genre: Fantasy/Romance. Status: Complete (Being Revised)
Summary (as given by the author): "You know," Chain murmurs, pushing Aiden's lower back into a dresser, pinning the human effortlessly. "None of this makes sense, I fear I don't even know my own heart, let alone yours." "All I know Chain is that I want you," Aiden responds. SLASHY/MxM book 1 of For You Series Currently being revised.
Review: I suggest not reading this until it's done being revised. I made the mistake of reading it while the author was revising it, and it led to some confusion on my part. I seriously don't understand why the author won't make this a book and publish it. It is seriously that good. I'm glad that they didn't though, because that means I can read it. This is the first thing I read here, and I am thankful for that. It is also currently my favorite story here. This author has a few amazing skills. They are good with words, good at coming up with an interesting plot, good at giving just enough information to keep you going, and good with coming up with original ideas. As I rad this, I can tell that the author has everything planned out. They know why a character does what they do. They know what the effects of that action will be. They know when the effects will happen. They know what will happen until then. In the story, the character is questioning why everything is happening, and why the other characters are doing what they do. It's not obvious, but that's the bait the author puts in there to keep you hooked until the end of the story. Just when you're starting to not care again, then the author puts out another piece of bait that again gets you hooked. They have it set up so that you will continue reading in hopes of figuring out why everything is happening and how it will work out. I do have to say though, since there is so much that the reader doesn't know, it gets mildly confusing and annoying. I want to continue reading in hopes of finding out the answers, but all I'm given is more questions. That could just be the way the author writes, but it's not a quality I like in anything I read. Another problem I have with this, is that the plot ends in the last chapter, but none of my questions were answered. I then have to read the next story if I want to know the answers to these questions, and I have a feeling it'll either be reveled in the very middle of the series as one big plot twist, or it'll be reveled at the end of the series for dramatic effect. If you're reading this Kaidyen Nemerah, please don't do that. I really hate it when an author does that.
For Your Amusement- By Kaidyen Nemerah. Rated M. Catagory: Fantasy. Genre: Fantasy/Romance. Status: In-Progress.
Summary (as given by the author): He ground his teeth in sheer frustration, pinning Chain so effortlessly, hand in the smaller demon's hair, wrenching his head back. So many conflicting desires filled him; the desire to punish Chain, the desire to taste him-to have him. He growls in his annoyance, Chain remaining still as to not tempt his rage. "You're so fucking cute when you act wounded." He murmurs. SLASH/Book2
Review: There isn't really enough of this written for me to review, because of the way the author writes, so I'll just tell you what I think so far. I honestly started reading this because of the unanswered questions from the first one. I'm kind of annoyed that it didn't answer any of my questions from the first one, but that's a personal thing. The updates are taking a while, probably because the author has two pieces in-progress and the chapters are long, but each update is well worth the wait. I think a lot has happened between this story and the first one that wasn't covered, and I kind of wish that the author had included that in the last one. It causes too much confusion when we are just given a summary of it at the beginning of this story. I personally think adding 3-5 more chapters to the end of the last story would have been a better way to go, or just an epilog. I'll probably rewrite this when more of it is written. I'll have to reread it before I rewrite this too, so that may take a while.
I Died So I Could Haunt You- By Raennem. Rated M. Category: Supernatural. Genre: Supernatural/Romance. Status: In-Progress.
Summary (as given by the author): Adrian sees dead people or "bodily-challenged individuals", as Drew would say. He's also asexual, being haunted by a ghost with personal space issues and resolutely ignoring his own existence. Good thing Drew's around to teach him how to live again. Slash
Review: Although this is a common idea, the author gives it a new twist. There isn't enough fro me to review the story, but I do believe I'll be able to effectively guess how it will turn out. Based on what I've read so far, the author does have some kind of plot-line planned, but I think the author will focus more on the minor conflicts that the actual plot line. There are so many questions that I want answered, but I don't think that the author will care to answer them because they really don't have to do with the plot line. This really makes me wonder why the author opened up that idea if they won't answer it, but I could be wrong. I hope I'm wrong, or else I'll me disappointed in the story as a whole, and might even remove it from my favorites list. I do enjoy the plot that's forming though, because it keeps me wanting to know what will happen next and how it will end. Based on what I've read so far, I fear that there will be no large climax in terms of the plot line, and that upsets me because it has so much potential.
It's about time!- By gnostic-mistress. Rated M. Category: Fantasy. Genre: Romance/Fantasy. Status: Complete.
Summary (as given by the author): A story based on a dream about wolves. Very, very hot wolves! XD
Review: I was pleased to find out that this is one of the stories I have finished reading, but disappointed to find out it's been so long that I completely forgot the whole thing. I'll reread this next time I have free time in order to review this.
Just Because- By Ryette. Rated M. Category: Romance. Genre: Romance/Humor. Status: Complete.
Summary (as given by the author): Slash. Bright blue skinny jeans can’t get you out of everything. Especially when your arch nemesis dumps barbeque sauce on them and then acts like a homophobe even though he really isn't. SKoW Best Slash winner round 11!
Review: I kind of remember what it was about, but I don't remember enough to give a good review. This story will have to go on my list of what I need to reread in order to review it.
Leviathan!- By RoughDraftHero. Rated T. Category: Romance. Genre: Romance/Fantasy. Status: In-Progress.
Summary (as given by the author): Leviathan has always been apathetic about this whole supervillian business. However, to impress his older brother, he chooses to make the new superhero in town his arch nemesis. Too bad this hero has a penchant for saving Leviathan! slash
Review: I was pleased to find out that this wasn't one of the stories that RoughDraftHero isn't updating. It's a common theme, but not one that I actually thought that I'd give in to. It's a story that rally shows the author's potential at righting. The only real problem I have with the story is that the heroes and villains are the stereotypical ones that made me hate cartoons. The villains won't do anything that the modern society sees as really evil such as killing or rape, but that doesn't really take away from the story. I understand that heroes won't do anything bad at all, but you'd expect something like that from a villain in a rated T story. Despite my personal grudge against that, the plot line is good and it keeps it well written. I'm kind of concerned about the fact that there's only one real conflict that everyone is dealing with, because that's not what happens in real life, but it's all open to interpretation. The author is good at adding a twist in every chapter of the book that surprises me and keeps me going. This amazing writing style also makes the long wait for every chapter well worth it.
Red King- By Kaidyen Nemerah. Rated M. Category: Fantasy. Genre: Romance/Fantasy. Status: In-Progress.
Summary (as given by the author): Fate doesn't let even Kings rest in its attempt to consume all. The world is always meant to suffer the consequences for the actions of the few. Souerin has not choice but to save his Prince, betray his friends, and bring to an end centuries of lies and sins. slash/femslash/het Fabulously long story.
Review: The author had given up on this piece when I had first read it, but, after my review, she told me it inspired her to continue! I really need to reread this before reviewing it though. It's been so long. I do remember that I very much liked it though.
The Coquette and the Thane- By Anyhir Moonstar. Category: Fantasy. Romance/Adventure. Status: Complete.
Summary (as given by the author): SLASH. Kedean's saddled with a deceptively simple task: deliver a bride-to-be to her fiancée across the sea. The complication? The "bride" is a nobleman, temporarily cursed with a woman's body, who's none too pleased with the arrangement—he does, however, take a quick liking to Kedean. *'12 SKOW Nominee*
Review: I'm sad to say that I haven't finished reading this. After looking through the author's profile, I feel like there are a few other stories that probably should be read before this, but the story isn't any harder to understand without reading them. I'll have to reread this story and finish it before giving a better review.
