I'll be the first person to tell you that I'm messed up. But I won't be the only person to tell you I'm strong. Writing the word Strength on my wrist, was mostly my mom's idea and she plans to take me to get it tattooed when I turn eighteen. Of course, my mom's been there through everything. She held my hand through the surgery that changed my life and she got me help when she and my dad separated. I know, this is supposed to be about me and all, but I have to give her a little credit, because she's the one who pushed me to write. My mom knew that writing was what allowed me to get my feelings out and she encouraged it. Right now, my first book is in the process of getting published and my mom's supporting me the whole way.
Sure, I have my immature moments, but at fifteen, I'm more mature than some eighteen year olds. I guess it just comes with the growing up fast package. I mean, a few years ago, I never expected to get as far as I have. I never expected to have poems published or a book on it's way to becoming published. I never expected my parents to separate, although they're back together now. I never expected to only have one true friend who I can trust either, but I guess things happen.
