Author has written 13 stories for Fantasy, and Humor.
You are most likely to find me sitting on the front porch of my house with a cup of tea. I enjoy writing. It does not quite pay the bills, but I have faith that it eventually will. I also enjoy travelling, cuddling with my German Shepherd (Juneau), fencing, archery, Tae Kwon Do, and getting lost in the woods or the mountains for weeks at a time.
I am always on Facebook or somewhere else filled with uselessness. I watch way too much anime and Dr. Who.
My writing is full of cliches, but I don't try to hide them. I take them out and make them jump through hoops, because that amuses me. I also like to shoot people with Chekov's Gun. My favorite writers are Neil Gaiman, Douglas Adams, Roger Zelazny, Robert Asprin, Garth Nix, Terry Pratchett, and Jim Butcher. I do snarky banter. If I make you laugh, it's a win.
In the mundane world, I am a museum curator and a historian. I write and occasionally publish American History stuff about early settlers and gunfighters and whatnot. Personally, I prefer Tokugawa/Meiji Japanese History & 13th - 18th century European History to American History.
I adore cooking, theoretical physics, dancing, skating, photography, COSTUMES, ART, comics, Highlander, British comedy, Firefly, Star Trek, "historical" Korean soap operas, Role-Playing Games, Steampunk, Gothic & Industrial couture, Renaissance Faires, Cons, and SCA.
I can take criticism, but please make it constructive. If you comment on my stories using profanity, your comments will be removed. I appreciate all of the feedback I have received, but do please note that some stories are marked with a date such as (2003). Some of these are extremely old and were written when I was 15 - 16 years old. I think (and I hope) that I have improved as a writer somewhat since then.
Where did everything go?! (2014)
Housekeeping. No, really. I am trying to focus on my "Sword of the Makers" series (Emissary, Paladin, and Dreams of Endymion). I will be posting some other assorted stuff from the series (such as "The Nok Market", "Seyadra's Tail", and "Child of Man") and will be working on the main three stories A LOT.
It is easier to do this by dumping some of my projects that aren't really going anywhere. If a story is not already complete or NOT UPDATING, it's going to be removed. Anything that is incomplete, you can assume I will eventually update it.
