"If there is a book you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it." --Toni Morrison Good day, fellow residents of Universe 0. I am obsessed with books, books, books, and also several varieties of book. Have I said enough? Words inspire me greatly, and it's the love of reading that sparked my love of writing. I am also what you could consider slightly insane. Of course, I always know when it's time to come back down to Earth. Usually. Often. Sometimes. Occasionally. Ahem* Anyways, I am a shameless lover of adventure stories, cliche ideas turned wild, magic of all kinds, and anything involving espionage. People know me as DBB (what it stands for, you may never know...), Twiggy, Luke Tressus, Luke Whitefield, Hannah Whitaker, Christy Suma (though, please, call me Chris), and I answer to the names Paige, Grace, Anna, and Ben. It's remarkable how often I'm mistaken for other people. On a completely unrelated topic, I like to consider myself an artist, and I've been trying to find a tablet for so long...I'm more of a pencil artist, really, and my tools of the trade are these pathetic little mechanical pencils with erasers that like to fall off. I play piano and if you hand me a guitar, I will make up a song with power chords, which is about all I'm capable of in that respect. Perhaps I could be described as big-headed. It's accurate in multiple respects -- I'm not conceited, though I might be overconfident; I've got enough whirling around in my mind to set a neural scanner nuts; and I dream big. My imagination is immensely overwhelming at times, though I've somehow managed to remain one of the most logical people I know. Words are my weapons. They say the pen is mightier than the sword...I say the pen is just a load of plastic with some ink inside, and the words we write with them can give me a thousand swords with a thousand hands to hold them all. You have been warned. But one last thought before you go: "Outside of a dog, books are man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read." --Groucho Marx |
