Some of you may already know me under the username L's New Style on FanFiction or RockGuitarGoddess on NovelJoy, so, to those people, I'm glad you're on FanFiction too.
So, to start, I go by my middle name, which is Loretta. Or you can feel free to call me L.
I was born to a mother and father in their late teens and lived in apartment sharing a room with my younger brother until we moved when I was four into the house where I currently live in Pennsylvania. I went to a private school up until the fifth grade when the tuition got too high and I got thrown into a public middle school, which was the wake up call I needed to become who I am today. That's when I realized that you can't just DGAF through life and get straight A's like I previously was able to do. I realized that not everyone is going to put up with my shit and that the world sucks. But I also learned what true friends are, my real ideals and beliefs, and how it isn't really about whether you fail or pass rather the effort you put in.
So, I've been making up random stories since I could even talk, reading since I was three or four, and writing since I was in the second grade. Literature is just something that I have always enjoyed.
I'd describe my style as a writer as ever changing to fit whichever story I'm working on or whichever character I'm portraying. But, overall, I tend to gravitate towards angst, mystery, adventure, and humor; romance is alright when it's believable.
Aside from literature, I also love music and art. Music has always been the biggest part of my life and art is one of the most beautiful forms of expression known in this world. Music wise, I play the guitar and I will listen to anything that I like really, and that's a wide variety (however, I only like one rap and a few pop songs, as I am definitely more of an Alternative, Classic Rock, and 90's girl). Art wise, I love anime and I'm a sketch artist who is currently working on a series of painted frames holding abstract art to decorate my room.
I'm also very athletic, playing both soccer and softball year round. They keep me in shape, provide an outlet for my abundance of energy and competitive nature, and, well, it's just fun.
Movies? I'm not too big on them, however there are some really great ones out there (examples: "Stand By Me," "Rudy," "Independence Day," "The 'Burbs," "The Sandlot," "A League of Their Own," "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Cool Runnings," "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "Spy Game," "Ocean's Eleven," "Clue," "Pride and Prejudice," et cetera).
I love food. I am absolutely in love with it. Enough said.
I am a very stubborn, independent, sarcastic, humorous, loyal, mysterious, philosophical, energetic, depressive, dramatic, blunt, random, quiet, loud, caring, willing, and surprising person. My moods are almost random. My friends probably think I am somewhat bipolar. But I'm me and I'm proud of it, and that's just how it's going to be for the rest of my life.
I hate injustice, cruelty, gossip, stereo-types, change, hard decisions, people acting ditsy, people talking about things that matter or are serious like it's a joke or it doesn't matter, snow, confined spaces, bright lights, feeling like I don't have a choice or am tricked or forced into something, commercials, talking to people I don't know, failure, loss, small boats, big boats, fast boats, being sick, the smell of my school's library printer, bullying, those spiky brown ball things that fall from trees in autumn, death, when things are just too unfair to be real, when I forget things I'm not supposed to forget, when people yell at me, when people think they're better than everyone else, when I'm wrong, racism, sexism, feeling powerless, and basically all the shit that goes on in the world.
I love music, excitement, memories (most of them), thunderstorms, animals, quotes, the classics, fantasy, imagination, making simple mistakes that we'll all laugh at, board games, singing, running, being happy, being around people I love, fuzzy blankets, feeling badass, finding the things I lost, eventually getting it right, competitions, being able to be myself, making others feel happy, writing songs, inventing, the smell of paint, the beach when it's not scorching hot and there's almost no one there with the sun setting over the restless waves, the good old days, the sky, and the ability to move on.
I'm not sure there's much else to say; if I think of anything, maybe I'll add it.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
"Live on or die trying." (I made that quote; I'm quite proud of it).
