My name is Scarlett, I'm seventeen to date, and I write as Lips On Fire. Haha, I actually came up with the pen-name from my last name, which means Fire.
Writing has always been my passion, and I love fiction writing. I mostly write pieces that are three to ten chapters, rated T or M, and they mostly fall in the Humor, Fantasy, Romance and Drama categories.
When writing I take note of spelling and grammar. I really detest those stories where the English is absolutely horrid. I don't understand why people make up stupid excuses for their spelling and grammar mistakes, like "Oh, I don't have spellcheck on my computer" or "Oh, I'm dyslexic". If you do refer to the guidelines on Fictionpress, they clearly state as the first two rules of conduct, to 'Spell check all stories and poems. There is no excuse for not doing this. If you do not have a word processor that has the spell checking feature, use a search engine such as Google to find one.' and to 'Proofread all entries for grammar and other aspects of writing before submission. 'Hot off the press' content is often riddled with errors. No one is perfect but it is the duty of the writer to perform to the best of his/her ability.' Sometimes all it takes is one error to ruin the entire story for me. So be assured, I'll do my utmost to avoid all these silly mistakes when writing.
I also do BETA-ing, so anyone who requires a BETA can come to ask me.
Keep your lips hot!
