Hey! It's TheVideoGamer here, and I LOVE to write. Don't we all, though? I mean, if you're here and all... Well, whatever. I have an account on Fanfiction by the same name (I'm signed in by my Fanfiction account), and I love Sonic the Hedgehog and The Legend of Zelda, not that it matters here. Origional stories don't come nearly as easy to me as fanfiction does, but I'm prepared to start writing about my own characters again. I'm also posting poetry now, a field that I'm still pretty new to, but my Creative Writing teacher got me into it.
Favorite colors: Black, red, oh and pink!
Most Prized Possession: Hm... Hard to say, but probably my GameCube memory cards (I have three)!
Favorite Video Game Character: Shadow the Hedgehog
Hobbies Other Than Writing: Collecting guitars (and attempting to play them), playing the violin, video gaming, collecting swords, collecting Sonic the Hedgehog action figures (most are still in their origional packaging, EEK!), collecting plush anteaters, and showing off my hobbies to people (yeah, that landed me a spot at the rejects' table during lunch, but it's worth it!)
Things to Know About Me: I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Benign Tick Disorder (no, I don't twitch or anything, I just have to blink when a new person enters the room, breath deeply at night, shower EVERY day with very rare exceptions, etc.)
Favorite FictionPress Writer: TheDerpyWriter, because he/she is SO funny. I also know him/her personally.
A Little About Me
Although I'm actually an extremely sensitive person, you can call me a nerd or a geek and I can't help but take it as a compliment. People call me weird sometimes because I'm afraid of automatic toilets and pool jets, and other things that I've already discussed, but that's not what really bugs me. My worst enemy is reality, and that's because I always wish life was something else. It's in human nature to desire what we don't have, but I wonder if there's something very different about me sometimes. I always think, "Why is that not possible?". When someone says that something's impossible, I can't help but name that as a reason for it to be possible.
Does that make sense? If you answered "no", then it does to me.
Another thing to know about me: I generally hate other people. I love sites like this one because I don't see the world as an overcrowded bunch of screaming people anymore. It's just a bunch of writers like me. And because of that, I can breathe a sigh of relief and just be comfortable here. Another thing: I'm afraid of criticism, so give me lots of it. With my strange phobias, I'm more than used to facing my fears, because they're all in the way of things that I love to do. For example, I always wanted to be on the swim team as a small child, but I knew that it wouldn't happen, because I couldn't even get in the pool and feel safe enough to do a few strokes, much less a whole lap. My family doesn't go on a lot of vacations, but when we do, we almost always drive there, unless we have to cross water of course. So, conveniently for me (and everyone else), I'm the person who's always asking for bathroom breaks. Well guess what? Most buildings have automatic toilets now, so that's just great for me, isn't it? Even my school's going to get automatic toilets soon, so I better get over that fear quick. The only problem is, I still have to carry strips of cloth around with me to cover the sensor with. It's only taken me a frickin' decade to get there.
