Author has written 19 stories for Fantasy, Young Adult, Humor, Life, Play, Essay, Humor, Love, Sci-Fi, Thriller, Romance, and Biography.

PSA: If I reviewed your story, then hell yes I would like you to review one of mine too! Maybe check out my magnum opus How to Be the Best Internet Writer in the World.

Information about me:

  • I like bad fic and cannot lie.
  • I'm sorry that I don't have links to the sources of every picture I use...however I do not own any of the art. If you are the artist who owns any of these images, please do contact me and ask me to credit you.
  • I am Chinese American. Raar raar dragon lady.
  • I am an ambivert. I wear a lot of makeup.
  • I like to write about women, people of color, members of the LGBT-plus community, and other minorities.
  • I am a fan of Kesha and Demi Lovato.
  • I have some rough edges that I am trying to work out.
  • I guess I'm kind of an enfant terrible...I update only at odd hours in the AM, I keep on meticulously fixing detail after detail until my friends go crazy, and I create and destroy many, many starts.
  • If you like my sense of humor (?? yeah I know right) and F/F or M/M couples, my fanfiction is RavenclaWriteRules.
  • If you want to see my drawings (?? again, why would you ever, I'm terrible), my deviantart is... *dramatic sigh* MarinaxMachina.
  • If you want to a story that updates regularly and features diverse, queer characters, you're welcome to check out my FicFun...which also also Marina x Machina.

  • To those curious about my pseudonym, I was originally Raven of Blackbird Crew for lack of a more imaginative name. Then, I used to be Marina Martinez, because I was a fan of Melanie Martinez's and Marina and the Diamonds' music, but it might have been misleading since I am not Latina, but actually Chinese American. Therefore I then used Marina Machine because I also listen to a lot of Florence and the Machine's music. Now I thought Marina x Machina (a pun on Deus Ex Machina) would be cool.

    Update 9/27/17:

Now that I am a uni student, I admit that I am still a lazy procrastinator, but unfortunately I just won't have the same infinite amount of time to waste, so know that I haven't abandoned any of the stories I used to review or write, I'm just tired/busy.

Stories I may return to update regularly: Peter Pantomime, Billet Doux

Future Projects: Lily's Grand Adventure, How to Be the Best (Internet) Writer, This Is the People.

Don't Hold Your Breath Waiting for An Update: Kiss and Cry (It's complicated)

    Update 12/7/17:

Among allegations about singer Melanie Martinez, I want to apologize and say that I wasn't aware of them before I appropriated her name for my pseudonym. Other than that...I'm going to be distancing myself from this. I'm sorry.

    Whether the weather be fine
Or whether the weather be not,
    Whether the weather be cold
Or whether the weather be hot,
    We'll weather the weather
    Whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not.

    A. E. Housman (1859–1936). A Shropshire Lad. 1896.

XVIII. Oh, when I was in love with you

OH, when I was in love with you,

Then I was clean and brave,

And miles around the wonder grew

    How well did I behave.

And now the fancy passes by,

    And nothing will remain,

And miles around they'll say that I

    Am quite myself again.
