I'm sure I'm not the only one to think that reflections are deeper than their respective surfaces, or to imagine them as sentient beings unto themselves, or to write a poem with this title; but nonetheless, here it is. This is what I see when I look in the mirror, and what my reflection sees in me. Written as a submission for my Creative Writing class. I do not own the cover art.

Shut Up And Fight
After staying largely sedentary for several years, self-defense sparring sessions are quite the workout, especially when you're learning from someone with considerable talent and no apparent weaknesses. Dedicated to the sensei's son, written as a parody of a song we danced to once ("Shut Up And Dance"). I do not own the original song, album, or band!

I Too Have Desires
My particular brand of romantic asexuality can be complicated even to me, so this is my attempt to straighten out a few issues in preparation for any future relationships. I do not own the cover art.

I've heard it said that life is like a campfire. Strangers, acquaintances, friends, and family burn common colors… but sometimes, you find a hint of green. That's someone to whom you immediately feel close, despite how little time you've spent with one another—even after losing contact and finding them again years later. Dedicated to the sensei's son. I do not own the cover art.

The Ashes of Her Song
"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind", or so the saying goes. But does blindness really matter if it's too dark to see? Corwyn Burnes certainly doesn't think so… at least, not after what happened to Elisa. I do not own the cover art.
