Author has written 3 stories for Romance, Love, and Young Adult.

"Literature gives us an internal compass, a way to negotiate all life’s rough and tumble. It gives us insight, empathy, direction and warning. It is a concordance for the physical world, a magnificent prism through which reality is refracted. Much loved passages whisper in our ears. Long-dead authors hold us by the hand. Half-forgotten poems fill our mouths. Literature is present at the birth of our first child and the ordering of our morning coffee. It fills us."

- Why Books Provide Ballast

Well hello there, my dearest Visitors as well as the people of My Profile Page. Feel free to tour around my private museum and enhance your knowledge however you like it.

Below is a brief introduction to my Being in FictionPress

Name: Cara (Sadly, not a real name)

Age: I can only say that I am in high school

Date of birth: 18th of June

Hobby: mostly things that includes art: singing, reading books, playing music instruments, painting, and writing. But there are also loving animals excessively, being a science geek, tumblring and watching movies, so...

About me: My friends call me strange, though I don’t really understand why. I mean, I dream about dreaming, dance to supermarket songs and consult my cats in times of trouble and all, which are totally normal. I don't come from England or Australia or America (or any other countries that have English as their main language), so English is not my first language—although I'm trying to master it. I love literature, especially writing them. I join English literature class at school and I have a personal collection of poems and short stories in my laptop! I'll upload them here because that's pretty much my intention of creating this account. I listen to almost all kinds of songs: right from Dario Marianelli’s orchestras to Pierce the Veil’s Bulletproof Love, and I love books. I used to be afraid that I would not live long enough to read all of the fiction books there are in the world. Hmm…what else? I have 7 cats inside my house, and the dearest of them all is named Berlioz, a black and fluffy cat with piercing yellow-amber eyes that tends to creep me out sometimes. I rant too much inside my head but I never say it out loud, so I express most of those thoughts by writing them down.

So, what are my intentions of posting my writings here?

I gave up on writing once, but as I started to read more novels, my writing sense just couldn't help but to kick in and kept on urging me to write again, even if my writings sucked (they still do, by the way). I rarely share my writings with my friends. I mostly show it to my sister and cousin and friends that are really close to me. But at the same time, I need more feedbacks. I feel like if I want to improve my writing, I will need critiques and solutions from a bunch of people and I can't just share my writings with the whole class. That'll be public humiliation. So one day, when I was strolling around google like what normal teenagers usually do in their spare time, I came across FictionPress and...voila. King Arthur finds his Holy Grail.

note: This is a kind of board that will post the letters that I, Queen Cara, writes to be read by my kind and cherished people of My Profile Page.

December 9, 2013

Dear my lovely, nonexistent profile-readers,

I have been busy these days, which is the only coherent reason as to why I have not been present for the past few months. I promise I will be more loyal to my words when I say I am to be even more present than lately.

You have been bestowed with the pleasure of knowing me in other's pictures and words.

Flight to Alaska One Shot: New York City, Manhattan
Sebastian and Felly had always lived life in secrecy and constant movement. It was the year of 2008; a terrible year for Felly and a wondrous one for Sebastian. It was the year of losing friends and making new ones. It was the year of memorable events. It was the year of New York City, Manhattan.

But you are sure you don't miss the times when she was pretty. It's strange but you miss the times when she was making you mad. You don't think of the times she adorned you with compliments, but of the silences that didn't feel empty because they were weighted with her presence.
