Author has written 2 stories for Fantasy.
With someone who is so obsessed with reading and writing, its almost comical how long it took me to find this website (all thanks to a friend). Since I'm new at this, its going to take me a while to get the hang of how everything works, but I'm looking forward to putting my stuff on the website!
I don't want to give out any personal info about myself, but all you need to know is that I'm currently a college student who instead of doing homework reads books until its way past my bedtime. I've been writing stories since I was 17, but no one has seen anything I've written except my sister. This will be both a terrifying yet exciting thing for me to finally receive feedback on what I've been working on.
Right now I have a full, very rough draft, of a story. I have a bunch of written out ideas, but I've been working on this one story since I was 17. I just want to get it right, and of course its hard to manage being a full time student, have a social life, and trying to make sure your book is the best you want it to be. Hopefully I can get feedback that will help me finally finish my first book.
I have so many favorite books and series, most of them coming from fantasy, romance, and young adult. I am obsessed with stories that are packed with action, love, and conflict, and I hope to have most of that in my own work. I guess to name some favorites: The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare, Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, The Drake Chronicles by Alyxandra Harvey, The Iron Fey by Julie Kawaga, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Divergent by Veronica Roth, Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire, Slammed, Point of Retreat and Hopeless by Colleen Hoover, Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James, and The Pact by Jodi Picoult. There are probably more but these ones are some stand outs (and definitely vary by genre).
I look forward to getting feedback and being able to review other people's work as well!
Lastly (for now) to explain my account name:
From the Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare:
"They're not hideous," said Tessa. Will blinked at her. "What?" "Gideon and Gabriel," said Tessa, "They're really quite good-looking, not hideous at all." "I spoke," said Will in sepulchral tones, "of the pitch-black inner depths of their souls." Tessa snorted. "And what color do you suppose the inner depths of your soul are, Will Herondale?" "Mauve," said Will.
