"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” -Colossians 3:23-24

Hello, everyone! I'm iheartgod175 and welcome to my little corner on FictionPress, where I plan to post my original stories. If this is your first time here, nice to meet you! And if you are a returning follower from 2013 (which is when I first started posting stories), welcome back!

I'm an almost-30 year old who's juggling with being an adult and all the fun insecurities that's coming with writing, yet I'm still here, through the power of lots of prayer, support, and a worrying amount of caffeine. I've been writing stories and drawing pictures since I was in elementary school, and in middle school, I hit my weeb phase and decided I wanted to become a manga artist, too. Well, nothing ever really came of the manga thing, but I do plan on making my own original projects in the future. I just need to sit down and finish something!

I must let you know upfront that, as the username implies, I'm a Christian who does her best to put God first place in everything she does, including her writing. I'm no saint by any means, but I do know that in my weaknesses, He makes me perfect. This is prevalent in many of my older fics (heads up: Super Readers' Biggest Adventure and my Veggie Tales fics, my first forays into fanfiction, are not subtle about said Christian themes. You have been warned.). That being said, I'm not a Bible-thumper who does nothing but talk about God all the time and doesn't practice what she preaches. My faith is a part of my life, but I know it might not be the case with many who come on this site. I aim to share the love of Christ in my character, too, which is why I do my best to be approachable with all whom I come across, and learn different perspectives and worldviews. While I do share my faith on other platforms, I'll talk about God one-on-one with people who are receptive to the Gospel. I will not force you to convert. nor shame you for doing so.

One thing I've always done since I first started writing, though, is to thank God for the stories I write in every author's note (with some exceptions). This is my way of expressing my gratitude to my Lord and Savior, who I write for primarily, after all. Anonymous hate did cause me to stop doing it for a while, but I was reminded that I had no reason to hide my faith. Truly, I'm just the pen; He's the writer.

I've been writing stories since 2006 (and my brother and I have created all sorts of stories even before then), though most of my older works are copy and paste fanfictions that I tried to pass off as original. I like to think that I've improved a lot since then, though I'm always open to improvement :)

I write a myriad of things, from fantasy to slice of life to historical romance. But I became dissatisfied with my work and took a break from writing stories for a while. However, I've had a sudden hankering to work on some more original works, so I'm dusting this off, cracking my knuckles and starting anew. Who knows, perhaps I'll be redoing a few old projects!

I love old cartoons, music, fashions and media, though that's matched by my love of anime (as well as gacha games). Hanna-Barbera cartoons and Pixar movies are my two biggest loves, as well as franchises like Love Live, THE iDOLM@STER, Revue Starlight, Symphogear and such. When not working on writing, I'm in school, drawing (though I haven't in a while), playing video games, watching anime and talking with my family--namely my younger brother, with whom I'm close to.

With my self-intro out of the way, I'll get into the projects!

Current Project

Chronicles of The World’s Strongest Energist

A complete overhaul of the original work, The Energists.

14-year old Waldo Summerton lives a privileged life in the small, industrious town of Johannesburg; being the only living heir of the Summerton family, it’s a given, but he is discontent with the prospect of waiting until his eighteenth birthday to study under his father. He leads a secret double life: by day, he’s aloof, distant but polite, and appears to be taking an interest in the family business. By night, he takes on a different persona that fits the nature of his dangerous secret profession. He is an Energist: a person who hunts and destroys malevolent Chaos Monsters that terrorize the world of Varia—a fact that, as of late, he hasn’t revealed to his family, who’d forbidden such activities since the mysterious death of his older brother. As the most powerful Energist in town, Waldo believed that he was unstoppable, having suffered a record zero losses in his four year career.

That record would suffer a blight when he’s hit with a major defeat, which results in not only his secret career being revealed, but also sets off a series of strange events that bring to light secrets that should’ve remained buried. With this increase of supernatural activity, Waldo begins his search for answers, making friends and enemies along the way. They come into contact with rulers and things that are not of this world, beings that will do everything to send their souls to eternal damnation. With an uneasy heart and an even heavier burden on his back, Waldo Summerton delves into the world of the supernatural, where destiny awaits.

And thus begins the chronicles of the world’s strongest Energist.
