![]() Author has written 3 stories for Manga, and Historical. Latest news: My first update in over 4 years! If you somehow stumble upon this page, welcome! Out of nostalgia I came back and remembered this page. I am now a teacher living and working in Japan. Time flies! Hex Grid is a story that I enjoyed writing during a rather formulating time in my life. I hope that you enjoy reading it as much as I had fun writing it. Hopefully I can finish it. Once more, thank you again for visiting my page. Below this I will leave things rather unedited for my own nostalgia but if you ever want to chat, feel free to leave a message! Working on papers, Hex Grid, and the development of a couple other projects so do forgive me if updates are infrequent! Welcome to my page! I'm always looking forward to a new read so if you have any story you want to get out there I'll take a peak at it if you want me to. I really enjoy reading brand new stories as it's always fun to be one of the first readers, and then have the excitement of waiting for the next installation! Constructive feedback is always welcome on my stories! But remember, fictionpress shouldn't be a business. Sadly, it seems that many people on this site treat reviews as commodities and seem as if they're only reading other stories so that their's may be read as well... Please, if I review you, you're not obligated to review me back. With all that being said, read my stories if you find them interesting and I do hope that you enjoy them! If you need someone to talk to then feel free to leave me a message, I'm always open for a good conversation! Also, if you're looking for a good read, I would give the highest of recommendations to Daniel Kozaki's stories. Daniel-san is as great of an author as he is a friend. ;) A little bit about myself.. The name's RTK! I'm an adventurous person that is currently working on becoming proficient in Japanese (I took the JLPT last year) after learning a good chunk of Latin. I hope to move onto Vietnamese next. I travel a lot and love to hear about other people's travels as well. I don't play video games too often but when I do play I enjoy strategy games. Though I enjoy manga, I enjoy the general culture of the Far East more. I am very passionate about politics so if you ever need a good debate partner, I'm here! X) Some of my favorite quotes: "Good, better, best. Never let it rest, until your good is better, and your better is your best." "You live a new life for every new language you speak. If you know only one language, you live only once." "The world is not beautiful, therefore it is." "Most men with nothing would rather protect the possibility of becoming rich than face the reality of being poor." “Those who surrender freedom for security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.” "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." "Bend adversity and turn it into happiness." Here are my stories! Hex Grid-Path to Freedom
It's a story I've thought of on my spare time and I hope to share it with you. Hopefully someone finds it enjoyable. If you have any questions about it then feel free to ask but keep in mind that many of them will be answered as the story progresses! ;) It's basically about two organizations that are constantly at arms and a girl that is sought by these two organizations for reasons unknown. Such a girl ends up at the doorstep of our protagonist that lives alone and has to think up what he should do with her.. That is until he finds out her secret. Shout out to Daniel Another shout out to , my 100th reviewer! 3rd shout out to st.jmon21 for my 150th review! S/o to The lone canine for my 200th review! :D Thanks everybody for the feedback that you have given me from this story, I really appreciate it!
SPOILER ALERT* The Peace Keepers are an analogy to the fossil fuels industry. New Era is essentially a solution to an alternative source of energy after the Fukushima nuclear disaster. Yokohama, the setting of the story, is where Commodore Perry of the U.S. opened Japan up to trade. In its infant stages, the story was inspired by a strange dream and by a game called Planetside. In the original 'script', V's identity as a hex is revealed through a basketball game in which Satoshi gets injured. Satoshi's name was chosen as I thought it wasn't a name often used in anime... That is until I discovered it was the name of Pokemon's main protagonist. Isoroku's name came from the name of somebody I met online, not the famous Japanese admiral. Isoroku was originally going to kill himself in this story. I lightly touch on divorce, trafficking, and drug addiction in this story. These are all huge problems where I live and issues that I feel are very important to identify. If you've been following this story, hopefully you found some of this interesting. I may add more to it if anyone finds it interesting or if I feel inclined. Near Reality Fantasy/Supernatural - on hiatus Near Reality is a story that is about a kid named Akio who always seems to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. This poor kid's sanity and all of his beliefs are shaken as he sees the same person die over and over again. If you're interested in why these events keep happening to him and how one can die more than one time, then perhaps give this story a read! Divided Land of the Rising Sun - on hiatus
This is my take on what COULD have happened had we not nuked Japan and the war actually drug on. It will tell how I believe World War II could've ended and how it may have divided Japan in the same way that Korea and Germany had been divided. It's on a hiatus as I've constantly argued with myself over the feasibility of a Soviet invasion of Japan and in my eyes, the story isn't as realistic of a scenario as I portrayed it to be. If you made it this far... Have a green tea kitkat bar and stay tuned! ;) |
