I write too much, but I'm a writer. It's what I do.
This is where I will try to post my poetry. A lot of my poetry has been from the past two years, so I try to put a date in the description of when I initially wrote it instead of when it's published. I may forget sometimes, though. Since the new school year started and I have two studies everyday, I will definitely be writing a bit more once I have finished my homework. I do miss being able to write all the time, so hopefully being told about yet another writing website will give me the drive to want to write more.
I will not give away my identity because I feel as though it is unnecessary to always know who the writing is coming from. Some of the best pieces are from the people unknown. You will only know me as Tireless Thoughts, because I need to have some sort of signature in my notebook at school so I know it's mine...
I owe a lot of my newly found confidence of sharing my work to my English teacher last year (year 10). I went to him one of the last few days of school to return some of the books I had been holding in my locker, and he told me about how he had loved what I wrote for my final essay. I believe, if I remember correctly that is, that he gave me a 96 on it. But what he told me was the thing that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. "You are a natural writer, never stop writing."
Because of him, I promise myself that I will try to never stop writing. I will never forget that class.
Just because I feel like it might be necessary, I will be posting about topics that are serious and may not be suitable for some people (ie. self-harm, depression, etc.). I will post "Trigger Warning" in any of these posts where it seems necessary to give you all a heads up.
Thanks for reading. I truly do appreciate it.
