Author has written 11 stories for Essay, Nature, Fable, Humor, Supernatural, and Haiku.
I'm secretly a super-powered crime fighter known as "Pen Girl", and I use my magnificent pens to slash and scribble at baddies and bring justice to the world and money back to the banks. It's a real tough living and, you know, sometimes we supers gotta kick back and relax too. That's why I joined FictionPress, so that I could write to my heart's content when some terrible villain isn't wrecking havoc upon some fair city.
Oh, and I should probably mentioned that "Carlee Tobin" is just my pseudonymous pen name; it's an Internet identity for my superhero identity in order to protect my secret identity. That's a bit confusing, so you might want to reread that a few times.
True to my superhero name, I love writing and reading, though I'm not exactly the greatest at the former. So any critique and reviews are highly appreciated! I mean, I can't really be the amazing, super-fantastic Pen Girl if I don't improve on what makes me such a great superhero, right? Exactly.
All right, so there IS more to me than just a mask. I'm a bit stubborn, horrendously competitive, very temperamental, eager to help, a bit lazy (not an especially helpful quality for a super to possess), a little shy (like seriously, am I doomed to fail as a superhero emotionally?), jumpy (AUGH), and a dash of a comedian. I also enjoy petting kittens, warm sofas, video games, soccer, the Olympics, tea, cupcakes, kicking butt, tea, dancing, instrumental electric music, drawing, macaroni and cheese, tea, popcorn, reading about fantasy- or adventure-based fictions, historical fiction stories, mythological fiction stories, tea, comic books, Marvel or DC superheroes, tea, tea, tea, and did I mention TEA?
See? A lot more than a mask and a fancy-shmancy cape and a snazzy-lookin' suit. And tea.
There's lots more to cover, though. Like books! I love books and I can be very critical of them, even ones I fairly enjoyed reading. That's the crazy thing about me, among other more-crazy things. Anyway, the point is, I love book discussions, so if you would just give me a PM asking me if I read or criticizing a certain book MY GOODNESS I WOULD LOVE IT. *cough* Too much enthusiasm there, I think.
Oh, I also decided to start a web comic wa-a-a-a-ay back in the ninth of July, 2013. I call it "Outlander Man", and it is packed full of anthropomorphic cats, sarcasm, randomness, super-powered action, inventions, and baddies. Here's a link to the website, which I created using Weebly:
Despite this ridiculous profile, you really should take me seriously; I value my pride a lot, and besides, I'm a fun person and I like to show it any way I can, which explains this profile section very well, I think. So yes, for the love of pride, do not take my writing for granted. Ick, my pride's been stabbed—I'm begging for respect, a very undignified thing to do.
Sometimes I can be such a groveling worm.
Worms are cute.
Anyway, onward to my Book List! Pen Girl, away!
