Author has written 2 stories for Spiritual.
Female. Early twenties.
I first wanted to be an author when I was 8 years old. When I was 11, writing Christian stories occurred to me for the first time. However, at the time, I thought that would happen in the very distant future, once I'd already established myself as a mainstream writer. Towards the end of high school, I realised that God was calling me to start writing Christian stories. It was at that time that the ideas for TWG Youth first occurred to me.
For years, I expected to get TWG Youth published in a traditional way. I thought it would somehow become mega-successful, and that I'd end up touring round speaking as a result. I imagined being friends with celebrities, appearing on talkshows, guest starring on tv, and doing red carpets. Somewhere along the way though, I realised that these dreams were becoming my priority. I was more interested in my own fame and adulation than I was in glorifying God. It's because of all this self-centredness that I instead chose to publish these stories on here, under a pseudonym.
Therefore, the point of these stories isn't about me. It's about you, and it's about God. And it's my biggest hope that these stories can make a difference in people's lives. For that reason, I would encourage you to share these stories with anyone you think may be impacted by them.
I'm hoping these stories will be the first of many that God will inspire me to write. If you have any suggestions of things you would like to read, I would love to hear them. Doesn't need to be an entire plot, maybe just a character, or an idea to centre it around (eg someone with body dysmorphia, or the idea of forgiving others).
If you feel like sharing any other feedback, that would be amazing too.
A series of five stories that centre around a youth group. Each story focusses on a different character, and something that they're struggling with in the Christian faith. I plan to upload three times per week, and each story will probably get posted over the course of two weeks.
