Hello, my real name is Charlotte, but I prefer nicknames. They give a sense of closeness that you don't get when called by a real name. So, instead, call me anything else. Just don't call me Charlotte.
Char, Charlie, Chardunkel. Anything.

Here are a few other things about me which you probably don't want to know:

  • I'm a 16 year old girl but I look like I'm 12 so I get the kid's menu at restaurants a lot.
  • I'm also Asian, which kind of sucks since now you have a mental image of me as someone who probably doesn't drive very well and has squinty eyes.
  • I live in Southern California where the people are faker and the tans are orange-r.
  • I don't like the cold. Even if I say I do, because
  • I lie a lot about unnecessary things.
  • I have a scar on my neck from thyroid surgery, which is the first thing everyone notices about me.
  • I tend to try to act cute online because it makes me feel good about myself.
  • I swear a lot (to myself) but flinch when I hear others swear.
  • I always have a shit face on even when I don't mean to.
  • I'm trying to change for the better.
  • I really love The Great Gatsby, Dead Poets Society, and Les Miserables. I refuse to read fanfiction on those.
Update: I read a DPS fanfiction and may just punch myself in the face.

When she meets surfer boy Corey Anderson, he looks not at all like the kind of boys she finds attractive. But the more she talks to him, the more she questions: Do the pages of a book say more about the story than the cover?

    Maybe This is a Diary
I'm not really sure what my life is, or what it is supposed to be. I want to become someone. I want to do wonderful things. I hope that when I die, I can go knowing that I have lived a full life - that I have "lived deep and sucked the marrow out of life".
