Author has written 3 stories for Mythology, and Life.
Writing is one of those small moments that make life worth living: like the first bite of a succulent strawberry, or a tumbling, clumsy cartwheel only to land, giggling, in a pile on the ground. It is one of those things that makes you believe that everything is as it should be. While I write, a bubbly warmth spreads through my body, like a sip of hot cider on a frosty day. A floating sensation erupts in my chest, causing me to grin like a buffoon, a wide smile that looks exactly like that of the Cheshire Cat. As words spill out of my mouth and fall with a small splat onto the paper, I can feel the power behind them.
I cannot begin to explain how I feel when I write. I cannot imagine doing it, but I can try. Writing is a rare and beautiful entity. She walks with us every day, her eyes twinkling with unfathomable intelligence. She helps us and she hurts us. Writing takes residence in every one of us: if we have the courage and the capacity to let her in.
This is why I write. And this should be reason enough.
