Film Cabin

Basically, it's a fictional version of me sitting in a log cabin and reviewing movies, animated or live-action.

The Church Dog series

This series tells of a pair of friends: a dog named Sam and a cat named Rusty. They live in a town in eastern Pennsylvania, adopted from the life of strays and into the life of a pastor named Nick. All throughout the series, Sam and Rusty have adventures and hang out with their friends, as well as meeting new friends and learning lessons along the way.

CHARACTERS

Main Characters

Sam = Sam is one of the two main characters of The Church Dog series, being the titular "Church Dog" due to his owner finding him in church on a dare to drink the holy water. He is a Dalmatian mix with white fur, black spots, and black ears. On his neck, he wears a red collar with a silver tag. Compared to other dogs, Sam is quieter and less social, though he does make an effort to be more sociable. He wants to follow the path of righteousness and wants to teach others the same way, but he can be pretty zealous about it at times. His backstory is that he was abandoned as a puppy and is adopted by a mother cat named Duchess, who had died before the series premiers.

Rusty = Rusty is one of the two main characters of The Church Dog series, as well as Sam's best friend. He is an orange tabby cat with a white paw and green eyes. On his neck, he wears a blue collar with a copper tag. While Sam is more introverted, Rusty is more outgoing, ready to explore and having a sarcastic personality to boot. He is also Sam's adopted uncle when his own sister had adopted Sam, becoming his caretaker/best friend after Duchess dies.

Major Characters

Brutus = Brutus is a pit bull living in Orwigsburg. He is a golden brown American pit bull terrier with cropped ears and scars all over his body. He and his brother Bruno were raised to be fighting dogs until they were rescued. Of the two brothers, Brutus is more aggressive. In the past, he had been a bully towards Sam out of depression, only turning around when Sam, Bruno, and the other pets save him from the Black Dog. After that event, he's become a kinder dog, though he still retains a gruff personality that hides a heart of gold. He also contains a fondness for children, defending them from attackers and comforting them.

Bruno = Bruno is a pit bull living in Pennsylvania. He is an American pit bull terrier with gray-and-white with scars all over his body and uncropped ears. He and his brother Brutus were raised to be fighting dogs until they were rescued. Out of the two brothers, Bruno is calmer and easier to get along with. He also reigns in Brutus's more confrontational side if his brother starts acting out.

Ginger = Ginger is a dog living next door to Brutus and Bruno. She is a female German shepherd/golden retriever mix with golden-yellow fur. She is shown to have a loving motherly personality, having cared for stray puppies before they're adopted.

Bandit = Bandit is an overweight raccoon living near an Italian restaurant, with a Brooklyn accent. He has a love for food and making friends, introducing himself as a raccoon that had originally come from New York City. He is also heard saying "kid" often while he's talking.

Ruby = Ruby is a former stray cat, having become a pet. She is a longhaired tortoiseshell with green eyes. When she and her father were strays, she was his second-in-command before becoming leader due to Hunter's slowly declining health.

Cassius = Cassius is a cat living with Ruby. He is black with yellow eyes. When Sam and Rusty had lived with the alley cats, Cassius often made fun of them, but he ceases this when Sam saves him and other animals from a fire. Once the main story is over, he ends up being adopted by the town's veterinarian. He prides himself on learning about the animals living near Orwigsburg, having looked it up on his new owner's laptop.

Pastor Nick = "Pastor" Nick Thomas is Sam and Rusty's owner. He is in his late 40s, with brown hair slowly turning gray and blue eyes, and he is often seen wearing a brown suit. He is the pastor for a church on the outskirts of town. Nick is a friendly and kind man, a mostly conservative man who believes in "don't fix what isn't broken", but he's later revealed to be no pushover, actually being stern with Hannah's ex-boyfriend Terry. He enjoys reading books (he's even written a few) and wants to write books for children, to get them to enjoy nature and being closer to God. It turns out that he was born in West Virginia, but he lived in Alabama for the first two decades of his life before finally moving to Pennsylvania when he turned 20.

Hannah = Hannah is Pastor Nick's daughter. She has short reddish brown hair, a plump figure, and hazel eyes. She was one of the two humans who found Sam, who had been her great-aunt's dog, when he was found injured by the side of the road. She's a bit more modern than her father, but she still respect her dad's position on things, and she had bonded with him more ever since her mother (Pastor Nick's wife) had died.
