Greetings!

Welcome to my FictionPress page! Call me M. My imagination often guides me to forgotten places, ruins and curious historic sites, both places I like to frequent in my writing.

Tidbits about yours truly: My nose is often tucked into an assigned piece of literature, pen restless and poised, while I annotate for my English classes. I prefer reading about my favorite time periods, especially the Napoleonic Era. All of my friends know that I have a peculiar fascination with Napoleon Bonaparte. If you step into my bedroom, you’ll notice that portraits of the French emperor and his nemesis line my walls. Put up your celebrity posters, your 21st century men, if you please. I’ll display my 200 year old propaganda, Napoleon on a rearing stallion, conquering St. Bernard Pass, and my 19th century leaders whom I most admire, Arthur Wellesley and Thomas Jefferson.

When I am not studying and researching, I am probably outside. I like to carve my own trails into the woods, through the mountains where I grew up, along the rivers. Sometimes I end up in the rivers. Wanderlust pulses through my veins, I love travelling and exploring new places, and would like to visit Belgium in the near future, so I may visit the Waterloo battlefield.

I intend to write often, but will probably be sidetracked by school and distracted by my endless adventures. Feel free to message me; I will respond.

Warm regards,

M. Tarleton
