Noelle wakes up in the middle of the road, in the middle of nowhere, in a completely different world. The destinies and prophecies of this world, and Ezra, who Noelle immediately feels close to, revolve around another girl. Noelle does not know her purpose, cannot use the magic used by others, and is left to fend for herself. Eventually, though, everything rests on her shoulders.
