Hi!

While everyone is individual, there are select influences which shape the path or our lives, and thus, our writing. I strive to be the James Herriot or Gerald Durrell of my time. If those are two new names to you, James Herriot was a veterinarian-turned-author of a series presumed by many to be autobiographical for their realistic nature, though they remain only partially so, while Durrell was a conservationist with incredible consequence who wrote satiric stories of his life, often from the view of his younger self. That said, don't let my unqualified and painfully short summaries keep you from looking them up.

I am studying veterinary medicine, but my nights I dedicate to creative writing. I have most experience with fiction, specifically fantasy, but I love anything that gives me an opportunity to peel back the mask of characters and discover what makes them tick. I am fascinated by the human experience and how it intertwines with a greater world, and that intrudes often upon my writing. That said, animals often take center stage in my storytelling (shocker), so if you appreciate that, fantastic. Otherwise, I try not to add them in pointlessly.

I love feedback––without much chance to write in my everyday life, I don't get many comments, and being the only one to look at a story for extended periods can taint even the clearest of perspectives. So certainly comment or PM me about what you liked, didn't like, or wish I would do differently. I likely will follow the advice, but you also get the benefit of knowing you helped someone trying desperately to break into this world.
