To anyone reading this, I doubt I will be posting anything here soon. I am currently working on "Alternate Fantasy", a FF8 fanfiction series of mine. Once that's complete, or at least up and running, I'll see what I can do.

My name is Draic. I'm musical, theatrical, have not got a driver's liscence, collect trash and plot to have them made into sculptures, work at the theatre full-time as a lighting trainee, am interested in books and writing, music and composing, movies and filmmaking, photos and photography, performances and performing. I bite my nails and write far too many lists of things to do, instead of actually doing them.

If you're looking for advice on writing, I've found it actually helps if you just sit down and force yourself to write, even if you don't feel terribly inspired. At least you get something done. And if you're really not in the mood, I've found that reading through what I've already written of a series/story will help me to continue from that point. Also, I usually need to be on my own when I'm writing, with no TV or games running in the background. Music I'm not sure about...

I also write FF8 fanfiction at fanfiction.net, also as Draic. If you play FF8, check it out!

FAVOURITE AUTHORS!!!
-kouryuu: Although we do not talk as much anymore, I greatly respect and admire kouryuu and her skill with words. Together we're writing 'A Whisper On The Wind', a slightly twisted story about what happens when an angel communicates with a human. It's in my fav links, under the name 'Draic and kouryuu'.

FAVOURITE STORIES:
"Stop" and "Alone" by Kouryuu
Two of her best poems, I think - the two that have affected and touched me, because I have found myself in them.

"Sara and her Insanity" by Beltane
That pretty much sums it up. Insanity, with Sara. Fun fun!

"In The Lion's Shadow" by Wyndchymz
A great futuristic battle between the Brotherhood who destroyed world order and the rebels who want to destroy the Brotherhood. Into the middle of this war are thrust five teenagers from a time before the Brotherhood destroyed the world. A story of bloodlust, heartache, death and hope.

"Live Forever" by Katie the Elf
An incredible, touching, poignant, beautiful story. Gotta find some more of these. It's very short, too, so it won't take up much of your time - please read it.

"The Fifth Prophecy" by starah
An extremely addictive, engaging plot for what would be one amazing RPG if it was created. I still hope that she will continue to write, for I am more than willing to read it from the start if I have to.

"Essay Troubles" (opinion writing) by Whizzothecrunchyfrog
A number of great opinionised essays (some very funny I might add). Deals with writing, George Bush, family, and your own personal soundtrack!

"A Ship of Fools" (poetry) by Wayward Tempest
A very well written poem, dealing with the dangers of chasing a dream.
