Lydia J. Nightingale is an actress, model, playwright, and public historian presently living in upstate NY. She has performed in shows all over and beyond the Capital District, from Albany and Latham to New Paltz and Rhinebeck. Her plays have been presented in Albany, New Paltz, and most recently in New York City. She is currently working for the Theatre Institute at Sage in Troy and is studying Public History at the University at Albany, with aspirations to one day helm a museum or interactive historical site. Her mission as an artist-historian is to produce engaging and instructive pieces that expose audiences to diverse perspectives in history, particularly those of women. .
